CTEC will be hosting the 2nd Annual Career Exploration Summer Camp for rising 8th grades students in ABSS. The camp will run from July 31 - August 3rd. The hours for the first three days will be from 8 am - 12:30 pm. The hours for the last day will be from 8 AM until 4:30 PM as students will visit two university sites on this day. Cost for the camp is $40 until June 10th and will increase to $50 after that date. Costs includes snacks, lunch on Day four and T-Shirt. Students will be notified of their acceptance via email. Congratulations to Mckenzie Jacks, Matthew Wampler, and Elizabeth Smith, who won first place in the Industrial Engineering Career Pathway Showcase. They designed, built, and added an ABS (anti-lock brake system) trainer to an existing system with the help of Faith Meacham, a student from Project Lead the Way, who measured and printed an insert usng a 3D printer that enabled the trainer to function. This team has been invited to compete at the SkillsUSA National Conference in Louisville, KY in June 2017. Ana Patricia Tomas, a CTEC culinary arts student, and Michael Rimer, a former CTEC student, also competed and earned awards at this competition.
